Description

Genasys Inc. seeks a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment in the field. This role ensures that equipment operates efficiently and effectively, providing technical support and training to users as needed. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and seamlessly coordinate with engineers, cross-functional departments, and management will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in the field.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to customers, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct user training sessions to ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems, utilizing technical manuals and schematics.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to improve service processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities.

Education and Training Requirements:

  • Technical background with a solid understanding of basic mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and schematics.
  • Relevant technical certifications or training preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar field service role is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to travel and work in various field locations.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
